Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Emsella chair treat?

Emsella strengthens the pelvic floor with a goal to improve stress and urge incontinence, bladder leakage, urgency/frequency, post-birth weakness, and intimate wellness concerns for both women and men.

How does the Emsella chair work?

It uses HIFEM® (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) energy to create thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor contractions while you sit fully clothed. One session = 11,200 comfortable and effective pelvic floor contractions in 28 minutes.

Is Emsella suitable for men?

Yes. Many men benefit for urinary leakage, urgency, post-prostate issues, erectile function improvements and other sexual health concerns.

How many sessions do I need?

Most clients do 6 sessions over 3 weeks (2 per week). Some people also benefit from 1–2 maintenance sessions usually every 3–5 months.

When will I see results?

Some notice improvement after one session, but results build over the full course and continue improving for weeks afterwards.

How long do results last?

Most people maintain improvements for 3+ months, depending on pelvic floor condition and lifestyle. Maintenance sessions may be recommended.

Is the treatment painful?

No. People describe it as a gentle tapping or lifting sensation dialled to your tolerance.

Is there downtime or prep?

None. You remain fully clothed and can return to normal activities immediately. No pre- or post-treatment preparation required.

Is the Emsella Pelvic Floor Chair safe?

Yes. It is FDA-cleared, CE-marked, TGA registered and wealth of clinical studies demonstrating its effectiveness for incontinence, sexual health concerns and pelvic floor dysfunction.
